Forgiveness – Week 2.1

Sometimes people do something to upset us, that may get us mad. I remember when I was young that I would get mad at people and I wanted to hold onto being mad. I specifically remember one time that I was mad at my parents for something. I was laying in bed holding on to that “mad” and I didn’t want to let go. Then I realized something important. As I laid there being mad, I realized that they were in bed sleeping and as I stayed awake, laying in bed, holding on to being mad, I was only hurting myself. I then let go of that “mad” and forgave. Today, I can remember that and it is easier to forgive and not hold things in my “bucket”, like being mad.
