In the summer of 2018, God called me back to serve the children and families at Hanover Fellowship

January 2004 – September 1, 2013 (Volunteer to Part-Time)

Was contacted by Lead Pastor of Northwest Baptist to assist with a new church start-up

Developed children’s ministry from the start of a church. Went from meeting in homes to a theater to a permanent facility. When moved to facility, I was responsible to develop an atmosphere geared for children, youth and multi-use.

Select curriculum, train/recruit volunteers, plan and organize activities including, but not limited to Sunday morning KidzChurch, Monthly Family Worship Experience, Wednesday evening activity (Awana), Vacation Bible School, Summer Camp, special events. Develop and implement child protection policies.

Children represented approximately 25-30% of people in attendance on a typical Sunday morning.

Partnered with 4 others churches to run a summer camp and partnered with a church to hold Vacation Bible School.

Awana Commander | Northwest Baptist
July 1998 – June 2005 (Volunteer)

  • Oversee all aspects of the Awana ministry from Cubbies (Preschool) to T&T (5th grade).
  • Plan budget, activities and annual schedule.
  • Provide training for leadership, share vision and promote within the church
  • Club size was 100+ children and approximately 35 volunteers/leaders

Serve on the Ministry team of Awana Missionaries

Lead conference workshops

Organized and ran Bible Quizzes for Awana Clubs in Maryland and No. Virginia

Assist missionaries training Awana leaders, Offer consultation to Awana leaders/clubs. Assist missionaries in caring for churches and organizing, running regional events.

A web site providing resources, leadership tips and information for people serving in Awana and children’s ministry globally. There are currently over 1,500 active members. The name “Commander Bill” is known and respected in the Awana community.

Represent the company to customers.
Develop documentation (AutoCAD drawings, shop information and office documentation) for customer, laying out components in an enclosure, developing schematics, assembly/wiring/testing information.
